9 Months!

Well, Elias has been outside of me longer than he was in me!  Time for another baby, right?  Ha ha!  I'm just joking people, nobody freak out thinkin' there's another baby on the way cause there isn't. : D

His ninth month was tons of fun.  He became extremely obsessed with standing up and started to pull up on everything to standing....at every moment.....of every day.  There were a lot of falls as a result of all that standing, but he quickly learned to fall on his bum and not his head.

Here are a couple of (possibly boring) videos of him standing up in the kitchen as evidence of his 9 month obsession with standing)

He also started mimicking.  I would play on my hands and knees with him and growl and everything (very embarrassing, I know, but not with him) and then he started growling too, but mostly at random times and it's very very cute.

During this month he stopped falling asleep in-arms, which can be a rather frustrating problem because it makes it extremely difficult for him to fall asleep when he's out of the house.  He falls asleep fine in the car, but anywhere else is really hard.  He loves sleeping in his crib though.

Speaking of sleepy-time reminds me of his 9 month bed routine, which I thought was cute and funny.  And since he doesn't react the same anymore, I'd like to record it:

After dinner and some playing it is bath time.  He loves playing in the tub with his plane and boat and rubber ducky and when he gets of of the tub he gets VERY happy and squealing until the diaper and jammies go on at which point he starts to get cranky.  We pray together and baby nurses while Daddy reads.  After nursing is over it's story time with Mommy.  We go through a couple rounds of Peek-a-Zoo (his favorite book EVER).  Then Mommy says, "And now it's time for you to go to bed." Which is his cue to cry.  Every night.  Like clockwork.  And it's adorable.  And so Mommy carries him over to bed, kisses his little face and tells him she loves him and good night and lays him down in his crib.  She then walks out and closes the door.  And he is silent for the rest of the night.  He's such a good boy :)
